• Receiving

One receiving the following records are taken vehicle number plate, name, and ID of the driver and supplier and contents in the track.

  • Weighing

Weighing is also done using the digital weighing scale to confirm the weight.
Sampling is done by removing samples from each bags mix well and at random pick 100pcs. Crack all and sample the kernels to get the good quality percentage.

  • Sorting and Sieving

Sorting of physical damages is removed and tiny nuts in size is removed by machine. The undersized and damaged nuts are subtracted from the gross weight.

  • Washing & floatation

Depending on the customer you may wash and float or you may not. Incase of washing and floatation the floaters are also deducted from the gross weight. Then the sinkers are put in buns for flowing.

  • Blowing

The nuts are cold blown for four days to get rid of wetness and to lower the moisture to a certain level may be as down as 25% from above 30%

  • Drying

The drying is done in the dryers after injecting the steam.
Temperatures are monitored every day and temperatures are adjusted upwards as the moisture level decreases.
We start at 400C and finish with between 550C – 600C until they acquires between 1.6 – 1.50C if they are for cracking directly. If it is for storing (preheating) we dry upto 3%.

  • Sizing

The dry nuts are then passed through the sizing machine to separate the sizes from 16mm to over 25mm. Each size is taken to cracker independently to realize high whole kernels percentage.

  • Cracking

Cracking is done by cracking machine which has two adjustable rollers. Nuts are cracked in different sizes independently to realize high percentage of whole kernels. In this stage shells and kernels are mixed.

  • Sorting One

Here we separate shells and moulds from the mixture.

  • Sorting two

In this stage we separate damaged kernels from good lot. E.g. insect damage white spot and immature etc.

  • Fine sorting

This is done to remove the damaged kernel that sorters in sorting two might have forgotten.

  • Styling

Fine kernels or exportable kernels are separated into styles e.g. style 0 to style 1 ad so on.

  • Packaging

The final step is packaging the styled kernels. They are packed according to the laid down procedures adhering to ISO standards.
